Michael Wang, is a Chinese born, American made, entrepreneur that found his passion in the automotive business. Michael is the founder and CEO of 212 International, a nationally acclaimed training and consulting firm specializing in Business Development Strategies and Call Center Management for car dealerships around the country.
Michael immigrated to the United States from his hometown Beijing, China in 1989 to reunite with his parents, who came to America first to create an opportunity for the family to have a better life. Michael quickly learned not only English but the American Way. He became the first entrepreneur in the family at the age of 12 with the creation of his first income generating business, an Internet Bulletin Board System that allowed you to connect with other people via a dial up modem. With the continued revenue generated from that business, as a sophomore in high school, Michael went on to open his second business at the age of 16, this time a DJ business that provided music entertainment for school dances and mega events that spanned over 182 schools with over 100 DJs in his stable.
After high school, against his parent’s wishes, he decided against furthering his education with university, instead started as a sales rep for a local car dealership. He quickly became the #1 sales representative and a pioneer in the creation of the internet department and business development call center for one of the largest automotive groups in the country. Michael received several awards and many accolades for not only his contributions but his many creations within the internet department and his business development team which lead to the eventual sale of over 100,000 vehicles over the course of his tenure. Soon thereafter, he took his experience and knowledge and went on to open his own training, consulting, and coaching firm that specializes in the development of traffic for curious dealerships nationwide, which resulted in Michael becoming a millionaire at the young age of 23, his very first year in business.
Michael is a huge believer in personal growth and modeling from the very best. To date Michael has spent close to a half million dollars on his own education learning from some of the best minds in the world, such as Anthony Robbins, T. Harv Eker, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, and the auto industry’s leading trainer Joe Verde just to name a few. After attending over 100 personal growth seminars and taking action with the knowledge he’s learned, many consider Michael to having a Ph.D. in personal development but more importantly in creating outstanding and continued results in both his personal and professional life.
Michael is an avid car lover and is a member of both the American Corvette Club and the Lamborghini Club of North America, which at time, of his enrollment was one of the youngest members in the club’s history. Michael not only loves his toys, he loves giving back. He is a part of the Big Brother/Big Sisters organization, mentoring younger kids, often with only a single parent. Michael, being a single child, always wanted a little brother, and through BBBS, his wish came true when a little 10 year old boy by the name of CJ became just that, his little brother. Michael is also involved with Operation Smile, a charity which gives kids with cleft lips or cleft palate, a brand new smile they can be proud of.
Michael also does motivational speaking to the youth around the country and has also been invited to speak at school such as the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Harvard Business School to talk about the concepts in his upcoming book, “From GED to CEO, Understanding the Business of YOU”, where he encourages kids to understand the importance of knowing that their life is also a business and how to treat it like one.
Michael is currently single, has no kids, and lives in the greater Philadelphia Area.
